The Mortgage Bankers Association (“MBA” or "we") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. This Privacy Statement describes the information we will collect about you, who we share the information with, and how you can limit our sharing of your personal information. What Information Do We Gather and How is it Used?

Information Collection
When you register for the Welcome Home program, we ask you to provide your name, address, telephone number, and Internet address, and other similar information. In addition, we create and retain “Cookies” as described below (all of the foregoing is referred to in this Privacy Statement as your “Personal Information”). MBA retains the information collected through www.WelcomeHomegi.com and will share it as described below.

Information Use

Personal Information 
We use your Personal Information primarily to register you for classes and to forward the information to participating institutions so that they may contact you for discussions about potential employment opportunities. We also use your Personal Information to improve Web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and, potentially, to develop new products and services. To accomplish these goals, the information collected by MBA may be used to produce written assessment reports, intended only for MBA internal use. We may share your Personal Information with third parties including participating institutions as required by law or with your consent. The first time you register online for the WelcomeHome program, you will be asked whether you want us to share your Personal Information with participating institutions as part of the process to give you an opportunity to explore potential employment with participating institutions. Unless you give your consent, we will not share your Personal Information, which will be augmented to include the courses you have taken and whether you attained the minimum test score. 

Cookies
Cookies are files that contain information created by a web server that can be stored on your machine for use either during a particular session ("session" cookie) or for future use ("persistent" cookie). MBA uses both session and persistent cookies to facilitate, track and limit automated activity, and to assist in the collection of site visitation statistics. Cookies are not used to disseminate significant information about users over the Internet. If you decline the attachment of any cookie, you may not have access to the full benefits of the Web site.

Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Customer Service
Visitors requiring assistance in use of this Web site should contact MBA by clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the WelcomeHomegi.com home page. Personal Information collected from you in connection with service requests will only be used to respond to the request. In regards to service requests, we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the user's indicated preference, if any.

Security
This Web site takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line. All Personal Information entered by a user on the site is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software currently in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just 'surfing'. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we commercially reasonable steps to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices and requires proper authorization to be accessed. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Our employees are notified and/or reminded periodically about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users' information is protected. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. In all cases, we will share information that we previously collected only if allowed under the privacy disclosure provided when we collected that information.
